Chapter 2- Confusion

The black couch that I woke up on was black; the rest of the house was in reds and browns. Altogether it was a very warm-looking room. A blanket had been draped over me, I noticed; and then I saw him. The boy who had carried me was watching me, his eyes curious and soft. I pulled the blanket over me. After a moment, he peeked under the blanket, his eyes playful.

"I see you," he whispered. I tried not to laugh, but giggled once anyway; after that, there was no stopping it. I laughed harder and harder, and soon the boy was laughing, too. He smiled, his reddish brown hair falling into his eyes. They were a deep brown today, almost the same color as his hair.

"Come on, breakfast is ready!" a voice said from the other room. It was female, higher, probably a younger girl, maybe the one I saw last night.

"Coming, Vera," he replied. "Alright, blanketbug, are you hungry?" he asked with a smile. I nodded. Then I remembered the man from last night, how scary he had been. I shook my head. The boy became confused; he seemed to read my thoughts.

"My dad is nice." he said. I wasn't so sure. The cape and the black clothes looked a lot like the clothes the man who burned my house down had been wearing. But even then I wasn't sure, and I was scared. I began remembering fragments of that night, the fear. The boy's eyes glazed over, as if he was seeing the memories with me. His mouth opened and closed several times, but he never spoke. It was as if he couldn't speak.

"Kourton! Her food's getting cold!" the same voice called from the other room.

"Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you." he promised. He offered me his hand, and I took it.

The kitchen was very open, with shiny black appliances and black countertops. More reds and browns were in the kitchen, making it seem even larger and very warm.

The boy's family was seated around a dark oaken table; I eyed them all carefully. The boy squeezed my fingers encouragingly; the man was staring at me. It seemed like he was staring like he knew me. Could he be the one who killed me parents and family and destroyed my home?

The boy pulled a chair out for me; I sat, almost falling over when it was high. He caught me and helped me up, then sat down next to me.

"Kourton, would you like to tell us about her?" the man said. Kourton, the boy, nodded, gathering his thoughts.

"She's five. She's scared- mostly of you," he nodded at the man. "She likes me. She doesn't know about any of us, really, and she's scared. Something really bad happened to her the night we...... um, the night we found her. I think it had to do with the smoke we could smell. Did you notice the werewolf scent on her? It's not hers, I can smell it. I think it was one of her relatives." the boy said.

"Very well, Kourton. We will leave her in your care, then, since she trusts you." When all of them seemed to be looking at the boy, I reached onto the table and took a roll-like thing really quick. I hoped none of them saw, because when I was done with that one(after about 3 seconds), I reached up and grabbed another. And another. And then another. Before I grabbed my sixth roll thing, I looked around at all of them. They all seemed to be staring off into different directions, so I took two. They made my cheeks all puffy, and I quickly finished them. Three glasses of milk were on the table by the rolls suddenly, and I took one at a time, sucking them down as quickly as I could. I yawned, finally full, and closed my eyes.

When I opened them, I was in the room again, on the couch. The blanket was back over me, and the boy had his own blanket, laying on the couch across from mine, a small table between the two couches. He wasn't asleep; he was staring up at the ceiling, his hands behind his head. His tawney hair was messed up and looked like he had been running his fingers through it a lot lately. I waited for him to look over, like I was sure he would, but he didn't for hours. I fell in and out of bouts of sleep, every time I woke up, he was in the same position. I started to wonder if he ever slept.

When I woke up the next time, it was because there was fire.

Chapter one- Lost(and the end of the prolouge)

(Prolouge ending)

I looked over my dad's shoulder, and what I saw scared me even more. A black silouette, in the shape of a tall man. He wore a black cape, and it billowed off to one side in the wind. I didn't want to see anymore, so I pressed my face into my dad's shoulder, trying to pretend it never happened.

Chapter 1- Lost

I can't remember much from before I was five. I knew I had an older brother and sister, but I wasn't the youngest, either. My brother had black hair; my sister was blonde. My mom was blonde, too, and pretty; my dad had black hair and tan-ish skin. He was tall and always had on a pair of aviator goggle things on his head.
The sad part is, my whole family is dead. I'm the only one left. My second family is dead, too, I think. See, I was adopted into another family.
My father had left me alone, and I went lookin for him. I quickly got lost and was unable to fin him, or him find me. He was dead, and I knew it. So was my mom, so was the other girl that he had picked up, because I hadn't found her, either. I sat down behind a tree and cried.
I heard something; a woman, crying. Sobbing. I peeked around my tree.
"Caliber! Caliber!" she cried. A man in a black cloak put his arm around her shoulders, trying to comfort her. There was a younger boy and girl- maybe two or three years older than me. The woman sobbed again, and I shrunk back behind my tree when one of the children turned.
"Someone's here," the one that had turned said. It was a boy. The other child sniffed. I peeked back around, and the man sniffed like a dog, raising his head into the air and sniffing almost inaudibly.
"Well done, Kourton." The man said. "You may come out now." I dissapeared back around my tree, trying to become invisible. I squeezed my eyes shut, making myself as small as I could. He repeated himself, then said it as a command.
"Come out now." All were looking at my tree when I peeked around except the woman, who was turning slowly. The boy looked at the man, and something seemed to pass between them; the boy nodded, turning to walk toward me slowly. He extended one hand forward, as if for me to take it. His gold eyes were soft, and his skin was as pale as the snow that had begun to fall. He was waiting for me to take his hand; I could tell that much. I was scared.
"Don't worry, I won't hurt you." He murmured. When I didn't answer, his face saddened. He walked closer to me, bending down on one knee and putting a hand on my shoulder. I flinched away; he was very cold, and I could feel it through my shirt.
"I'm sorry," he said, looking down. Now he was really sad. I could feel how sad he was. I reached out to him, putting my hand on his cool cheek. He looked up at me, surprised, a small smile splitting his face. "Come with me," He said. "It's okay," He reached down and stroked the back of my hand. "See?" His cold fingers left my skin tingling. He took my hand in his, and pulled me up onto his back. He walked back to his family; it was then that I realized he was tall for his age.
"Come with us, child." The scary man said.
"Here," the woman bent down, opening her arms. I hid behind the boy, shrinking down lower on his back to hide. The boy chuckled softly.
"It's ok, mom. I'll carry her." the boy said. The forest was a blur around me, and I held tighter to the boy. I didn't look up; I was scared to see what was happening. When we had stopped, there was a large white house in the middle of a grove of trees. We flew into the house and I was sat on a couch. The family dissapeared, and I soon fell asleep.

Dreamers- Oblivion

Ok so this is a book about what happened with the Dreamers and Oblivion, a creature... well i'm not sure what she is. I'll ask... anyway, here's the beggining. I'm also doing a commmercial for it(the Dreamers thing- i'm hoping I get animation software for my birthday) that I will post on youtube and later on here. I promise I'll make it the best I can!!!!! It will be to the song Frontline by Pillar. I think it fits an action movie such as this will be- made by me, hopefully, and posted on youtube as well...

Prologue- Hopeless

I woke up to see fire... I sat up in my bed and cried out: "Daddy!" I screamed. He burst through my door, and grabbed another little girl, in the crib that was across from my bed. Then he picked me up and carried me through the door, fire raging around us. Once we were outside, I could sense that he was very sad. I was too scared to ask where we were going or why he was sad. Tears streamed down my face as we ran into the night.
